It seems like this question of the 2000′s decade never disappears to new internet users. However, it is something that must be taken seriously, because security is the number one thing you must keep in order to look between Mozilla or IE. First let’s take a look at Internet Explorer, because it came first before Mozilla. Internet Explorer has been used in schools, offices, and people’s homes ever since the internet was created. It was one of the first browsers out there, and it was number one for a very long time. Throughout the 90′s, nobody would ever doubt using Internet Explorer. But as the year 2003 approached, a new name became to start popping up on computers. That name was Mozilla Firefox, which is now IE’s main competitor in the browsing business.
Surprisingly, Firefox began to capture people’s attention with its new add-ons and skins. This brought a lot of loss to IE, because it did not have these special type of add-ons. So over time, it began to lose a lot of long time users to Mozilla Firefox. Also, in Mozilla Firefox, users were able to put music imported into the browser while going on other websites. IE lost so much to Mozilla Firefox, that it wasn’t even funny. Then, in 2009, in a desperate attempt to catch Mozilla Firefox’s rapid growth, Microsoft released IE 8. Everything was suppose to be “new” and “improved”, but it still did not compare to Mozilla’s vast specialties that it contained. In the end, IE has lost to Mozilla, and it will stay this way if IE remains the same. For a safe bet, choose Mozilla over IE, and you will be a happy camper.
