Virtual private server (vps) is a term used by web hosting service providers to refer to a virtual machine to be used solely by an individual or a company. As of these days, a mass number of web hosting companies like Host Monsterz, Host Gator, Go Daddy has started to offer virtual private server web hosting commonly known as VPS hosting, or virtual dedicated server hosting as an extension for web hosting services for which several licenses has to be acquired from third-party vendors to run and operate their scripts/software on a VPS.
